I checked the homework and lab, then discussed it. There is a take-home quiz on the lab that is due next time. Most of the period was spent conducting a lab in 3 parts: Wind and Currents, Winds and Climate and Density Driven Currents.
We did not get to the notes on El Niño, so students need to come to class with some background knowledge about El Niño. Please do some web research for 3 facts about El Niño.
We also watched about 10 minutes of Earth: The Biography.
