Detecting Infrared Radiation

QQ- Which color of light is higher in energy, red or violet?  Which color has the longer wavelength?

I checked the homework and collected the Spectroscope Lab.  We discussed grades and students saw that students who turn in their work get A's and B's and students that have missing assignments have much lower grades.

We also took the checkpoint quiz on the periodic table and the calculations from the Travel Time to the Stars lab.

We also discussed how important it is for astronomers to look for other types of "light" besides visible to learn information about our universe.  We watched this video

The remainder of the period was spent doing the Detecting Infrared Radiation lab.
